THE future of one Powys football club is looking increasingly bright.
Llanfair United Football Club's junior section is expanding by the year and it is music to the ears of club vice-chairman Craig Griffiths.
Griffiths is also chairman of the Mid and North Powys Junior Football League so has double the reason to be delighted.
He said: "As a club, our junior section grows year on year, currently having well over 100 juniors signed on for the 24/25 season.
"The local community and parents whose children play support us well when hosting festivals, sponsorship of new kit and raising essential funds, and we as a club are grateful for that.
"The juniors form part of the overall club, run as one entity and we'd like to eventually see our juniors graduate into the ladies and men's teams, thus keeping our ethos of retaining local footballing talent in Llanfair and our status as a community club with a core of local players.
If anyone is interested in joining our junior section for fun friendly football opportunities, then please contact the club."
