A POWYS teenager has been selected to represent Wales at the World Darts Masters this month.
15-year-old Luke Oldham will fly out to Budapest having sealed his place after reaching the final of his first Welsh Darts Organisation competition.
The World Darts Masters is being held from October 9th-13th with the Powys teenager facing a busy few days as he competes in the World Youth Masters, World Youth Open and World Championship qualifier.
Wales will not be sending a team and instead selected individuals will represent Wales.

Proud mum Natalie said: “As a parent I’m extremely proud that he’ll be representing Wales in Budapest and hope he enjoys the experience.
“We would like to thank those that donated money to fund the trip, namely Machynlleth Rotary Club, Montgomery & Radnor County Darts Team, Ysgol Bro Hyddgen, Cyngor Cymuned Cadfarch and Welsh Darts Organisation.”
The Ysgol Bro Hyddgen in Machynlleth student said: “I started out by going to the Pier in Aberystwyth after my football games with my dad on most Saturdays when I was 10.
“I played with a couple of friends in local club and pub from the age of 14 and after a while of playing I soon realised I had a gift and started practising a lot more.
“I am feeling confident and excited to represent Wales and getting the opportunity of playing in a foreign country.”
The Powys teenager’s favourite player is Welshman Gerwyn Price whose achievements he hopes to emulate
The teenager has reached the Welsh Youth Masters final, NOPL online competitions and local darts tournaments in recent years and currently plays for the Montgomery and Radnor county team and competes in the Superleague for the Sitwell Arms, Bucknell and in the Aberystwyth & District League.
The Montgomery and Radnor Youth Darts Academy started in Newtown in September 24, offering youngsters a route into the sport.
