PRESTEIGNE stormed to a 117 run win at home to Woolhope IIs in the second division of the GB Liners Marches League on Saturday.
The match also represented a first for the club who made more than 300 runs at home for the first time.
William Bartholomew (30) and 15 year old Joey Jones (54) opened up, and kept the board ticking with the youngster getting his maiden 50 in men’s cricket in the 20th over.

Mark Ammonds (79) put the Woolhope bowlers to sword, scoring freely throughout his innings, before late contributions from Alan Stocker (42no) and a very sensible innings from Bem Amos (48no) saw Presteigne finish on a mammoth 309-4.
Sixteen year old Arthur Chilman (2-45) made the breakthrough.
A slight fight back from Seb Slocombe (41) and Zak Webb (29) was soon ended by a superb spell from Ammonds (1-21).
With it coming into the final overs, Woolhope had got themselves to a respectable 185 before Amos (2-1), bowling for first time in 10 years, wrapped up the affair as Presteigne gleaned a mountain of confidence going into the local derby against Builth Wells IIs on Saturday.
