A PRODUCT of Newtown Rugby Club made her debut for Wales last weekend.
Teenager Izzy Jones was in action for Wales U18s at Cardiff Arms Park and helped her country to a thrilling 17-14 win over the USA.
Newtown Rugby Club women's section coach Darren Bloor said: "We’re all extremely proud of what Izzy has achieved in a short time having only started playing rugby three years ago.
"We have a good pathway at the club and hopefully Izzy will be the first of many Newtown players to pull on the Welsh Jersey."
