British interest in the men’s 200m backstroke ended after Oliver Morgan missed out on a place in the final in Paris last night.
The 20-year-old from Bishop's Castle's time of 1:57.28 was enough for sixth as his debut Olympic Games ended without a medal and a second semi-final exit of the Games.
The Powys border Olympian has enjoyed a fine Games, making it through to the semi-finals of the 100 metre back stroke and 200m distance.

His hometown is right behind him with a fan zone community day set up in Bishop's Castle community college.
The Birmingham University student has only been swimming competitively for around three years .
