British interest in the men’s 200m backstroke ended after Oliver Morgan missed out on a place in the final in Paris last night.

The 20-year-old from Bishop's Castle's time of 1:57.28 was enough for sixth as his debut Olympic Games ended without a medal and a second semi-final exit of the Games.

The Powys border Olympian has enjoyed a fine Games, making it through to the semi-finals of the 100 metre back stroke and 200m distance.
