HAFREN Cycling Club is home to a Welsh champion.
Eleven year old Teleri Ann Rowlands of Oakley Park is the new under 12s Welsh champion after coming out on top at the Welsh MTB XCO Championships 2024 at Aberdare.
Teleri belongs to a family of cyclists with sister Heledd Rowlands and older brother Iestyn Rowlands also keen cyclists.
The youngster crossed the line in 3.48.735 while clubmate and sister Heledd ended in fifth spot.
A host of other Powys riders were in action in Aberdare.

David Pugh of the Builth Wells based Bulls Cycling Club was first in the men's fun race.
Fellow Bulls members Lucas Pugh and Danny Davies were third in the under 12s and under 10s races respectively while Maddie Davies was second in the girls under 6s race and Gaian Hardman ended second in the junior men's race.
Meanwhile the unattached Jonny Pugh was first in the veterans men's race.
TORG Performance rider Aelwen Davies from Builth Wells stormed to glory in the girls youth race in 3:01.04 and Finn Davies of Llanwrtyd Wells raced for Clee Cycles and ended second in the youth open.
