LLANDRINDOD Wells once again played host to the annual Welsh Two Day Enduro last month when nearly 500 international riders descended on the Powys spa town.
Riders rode a daily course of around 130 miles, mostly off road, and took in four special tests and the breath-taking scenery of mid Wales.
All classes were hard fought with the overall championship win going to Steve Holcombe from Devon.
The best placed local rider was Rhayader’s Alex Walto while the Llandrindod pairing of Jonathan Williams and Neil James took the sidecar championship class on the last special test by 0.68 seconds.
Local riders Martin Jones and Nick Morgan took the sidecar clubman class while Radnorshire rider Alwyn Watkins took the Sportsman Solo class.
Llandrindod businessman and Welsh Two Day committee chairman Tom Knill won the Classic Expert Twin shock class, Katie Walker was the best lady rider, Powys rider William Lloyd took the over 50 clubman class win and Powys rider Rees Jones won the Clubman class.
Finally the PAR homes sponsored rider Sion Evans won the expert Solo class.
