FORDEN United Football Club has set about raising £5,000 to invest in ground developments.

The MMP Central Wales League North club has targeted promotion to the Ardal leagues.

A club spokesman said: “We’re an ambitious club with aspirations to provide the highest standard of football possible for the players at our club. 

“We currently play in tier four but wish to apply for our tier three license and aim to hopefully achieve promotion.

“To gain our tier three license we must meet a certain level of accreditation laid out by the FAW to be allowed to advance, we need financial support to enable us to put these facilities in place.

“We’ll be looking to put the infrastructure in place down at Forden Recreational pitch to allow us to progress to the next tier of Mid Wales Football, this includes a stand, hard standing around the edge of the pitch, disabled access and groundworks.”
