The Rhayader Motorcycle Club recently laid witness to a star-studded King of the Hill Sprint Enduro.
The event, held at the Cwmythig Hill venue, saw the participation of six present and past world enduro champions.
Making the most of the spring sun after the relentless rain, the racers were getting in practice for the round of the Enduro GP in August.
Standing out in the event, multi world champion Brad Freeman stole the show, wrapping up a thrilling race just 23 seconds ahead of Steve Holcombe.
Junior world champion Jed Etchells claimed the third spot in line.
Local pride Alex Walton, Rhayader's own European Champion, proved his mettle by securing the fifth position.
Notably, legendary Enduro Champion David Knight, fresh out of surgery and twice as old as some of his competitors, showed his experience by finishing 14th out of 24.
Callum Hughes emerged as the winner in the experts’ class, edging out Ben Zeale by a single second.
Jake Trawford held his ground to secure a win in the clubman class, closely followed by Danny Morris.
Llanidloes' Rees Jones took the Under 19 class victory.
Callum Smith bagged the sportsman class win, beating host club members Cameron James and Tom Groves, while Katie Walker took top spot in the Ladies class.
Following the success of the enduro, the Rhayader Motorcycle Club's next event is the popular Evening Moto Cross on May 29.
Details for the event can be found on the club's Facebook page and website.
