The evergreen Andrew Davies set a new Welsh record at the SRI Chinmoy 100/50k Ultra Races in Perth on Sunday.
The Newtown athlete won the 50k race, which incorporated the British Championship, at North Inches Park in Perth.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games marathoner and veteran Great Britain multi-distance international finished second in a new Welsh best of 2:48.33.

The Stockport Harrier crossed the line narrowly behind Ronnie Richmond of Bideford AAC who claimed gold in a new UK record of 2:48.25.
Welsh athlete Tony Golabek of Inverness Harriers also took part in the 50k race and finished 6th in a time of 3.24.11.
Davies said: "I am pretty delighted to go up to Perth and get the time. That was the ambition.
"I’m a bit gutted how the race turned out. I pulled away from the eventual winner and thought I did enough to win and get the record. Little did I know I was a sitting duck and a target as he knew he was catching me on the last lap.
"Once he sprinted past me, there was nothing I could do."
