PENRHYNCOCH were made to toil in the Mount Field mud to overcome a resolute Llanfair United on Saturday to remain top of the Ardal North East League table.
The hosts stunned the high-flying Roosters by racing into a two goal lead with Flynn Morris netting twice before new signing Cameron Allen reduced the arrears before the break.
Allen levelled shortly after the break and Penrhyncoch led for the first time with Rhys Stephens conceding an own goal before Daniel Owen struck to complete the comeback.

Llandrindod Wells maintained their own pursuit with a 3-1 win at Llanuwchllyn with goals from Jack Evans, Richie Powell and Kieran McCarley to cancel Meilir Williams’ reply while Mike Pritchard saw red for the hosts.
Welshpool Town celebrated only their second point of the season with a battling 1-1 draw at home to Dolgellau AA with Ethan Kinsey netting for the hosts and William Gruffydd replying while Ed Powl-Jones saw red late on for the visitors.

Llanrhaeadr booked their place in the semi-finals of the Ardal North League Cup with a convincing 4-0 win at home to Bethesda Athletic.
Billy Clarke saw red for the hosts before Noah Hughes was dismissed for the visitors and the hosts took control with goals from Gruff Evans, Tom Evans, Glenn Evans and Byron Edwards.

Rhys Hughes came off the bench to net twice as Bow Street sealed their place in the semi-finals with a 3-1 win at home to Builth Wells with Ricky Ricketts completing their scoring while Dan Hall reduced the arrears for the Bulls.
Hay St Mary's boosted their Ardal South East League survival bid with a battling 2-2 draw at home to Abercarn United on Saturday.
The visitors led through David Griffiths' strike after half an hour with Matty Tong levelling before the break and the Saints looked to have snatched glory when Noah Cripps struck with five minutes remaining only for Abercarn to level late on through Jack Bainton.
