Powys rugby club a win away from WRU Division One Cup final

Victory at Porth Harlequins on Saturday has set the stage for a semi-final date against Llanelli Wanderers with Mountain Ash and Glynneath due to meet in the other semi.

Duggan conceded Llanelli Wanderers would be favourites but insisted there were no easy ties remaining in the competition with the winners scheduled to meet at the national stadium at the end of the season.

The WRU Division One West side currently top their division having lost just once all season.

Duggan said: “Llanelli are probably the favourites of the last four so we have drawn a tough game.

“Llanelli have been thrashing teams in there league so we will go in as massive underdogs but we are up for the challenge and the boys know they will have to train harder than ever this next month to try and achieve their goal of playing at the Principality Stadium.”

The match will take place at a neutral venue and Duggan called upon fans and townspeople to clear March 2nd in their diaries and ensure whichever South Wales venue was selected would be turned into a sea of black and amber.

He said: “The game will be played at a neutral ground and I’m sure we ll take a massive crowd from mid Wales down and hopefully make it a day to remember.”

The Bulls return to league one west central action at home to bottom of the table Birchgrove on Saturday aiming to move into the top half of the table with games in hand.
