BUILTH Wells will host the first ever North Road Garage Toyota Showground Stages on Saturday.
Newtown and District Automobile Club Ltd are organising the 2WD only rally held entirely within the Royal Welsh Showground.
Action starts at 8am on Saturday with spectators welcome and car entry on the day £20.
Clerk of the course Wayne Jones said: “We would like to thank our title sponsor, North Road Garage Toyota for coming on board, and to the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society for the use of the Royal Welsh Showground. Also, thanks must go to all our other sponsors for enabling us to run the event.”

The event consists of five stages of just under three miles each, each run twice, with a service between each loop. This will give a total stage mileage of just under 28 miles.
“We welcome spectators to this event and ask that you only spectate in the specified spectator areas. Please do not be the person who forces the delay or even cancellation of the event.
“We have a Motorsport UK steward, who has the power to do either of these things if he thinks that there is anyone who is in an unsafe place.Wishing you a safe and enjoyable day of rallying.”
Eian Pritchard of Builth Wells-based North Road Garage said: “It’s a privilege to be the main sponsor for the event as this venue hasn’t been used for a number of years and the revenue the event brings into the local community has been greatly missed in the recent years”.
“Having been involved with motorsport for a number of years we are happy to give back to the rallying community and wish to thank all the organisers and volunteer marshals who’ve put a lot of effort into getting this event off the ground.”
Newtown’s Len Jones teams up with Don James of Aberystwyth in a Ford Escort and Newtown’s Gareth Edwards and Dylan Andrew in a Vauxhall Nova while Dan Jones and Clive Jones of the Newtown club will be in action in a Renault Clio and clubmates Dan Mundell and Stephen Spear will be competing in a Peugeot 306.
