RUSSELL Broadhurst has stepped down as manager of Trewern United.
The MMP Central Wales League North club confirmed the news via its social media channels and paid tribute to Broadhurst for his two and a half years at the helm of the Llandrinio-based club.
A statement read: "The club are sad to announce that Russell Broadhurst will be leaving his position as manager. Unfortunately, due to work commitments and a change in personal circumstances, he has decided to step down.
"We’d like to thank Russ for all his hard work over the last two and a half years in charge. During this time, the club won silverware, gained promotion, and established the club in the Mid Wales League."

Previous manager Nathan Jones has agreed to take over in the interim while the club are now looking to appoint a new manager to fill the vacancy.
Broadhurst said: “It’s been clear to me for a while there is no long-term future with myself as manager due to my work commitments.
"New family commitments in the near future will make it almost impossible to give the team enough of my attention so it is for the best that I step down from my role as manager.”
