THE FAW Central Reserve League season marked its opening weekend with Dolgellau AA Reserves edging a 1-0 win at newcomers Hay St Mary's Reserves today.

A solitary strike from Ioan Roberts ensured the Wasps made the long trip home with three points.

Honours ended even as Bow Street Reserves and Llanuwchllyn Reserves shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Cae Piod with Iolo Ap Dafydd's 15th minute penalty for Street cancelled out by Iolo Jones' equaliser.

Llandrindod Wells Reserves and Builth Wells Reserves also shared the derby honours in a 1-1 draw at Broadway with Tom Evans firing the hosts ahead only for Kejan Foryswewski to immediately level for the Bulls.

Waterloo Rovers Reserves battled to a 3-1 win at home to Four Crosses Reserves in the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League.

Adam Gough led the scoring with two goals for the Welshpool hosts with Mike Jones also on target while the visitors replied through Ashley Watkins.

Kerry Reserves maintained their goal-laden start to the season with a 9-0 thrashing of Churchstoke with Ryan Jervis starring with four goals.
