NEWTOWN host Guilsfield in the second round of the Nathaniel MG Cup on Saturday (5pm).
The Guils make the trip following a resounding opening day defeat at Airbus UK Broughton in the JD Cymru North last week.
Manager Nathan Leonard said: “Saturday is a free hit for us.
“We are massive underdogs against a really strong Newtown squad.
“Chris has again recruited well and they look like they’ve assembled a very very strong team for the new season.

“We will have to be at our very best to stand any chance and players need to step up to the plate and prove what they are made of as they don’t come much better.”
Meanwhile Hughes expected a tough game against the villagers.
He said: “We expect a tough, like we always do against Guilsfield, and we know they will be very much up for the game.
“From our point of view we are looking forward to the start of the season and cannot wait for our first game this Saturday.
“Hopefully we can get get off to a winning start.”
The Robins go into the tie with a full squad, including star signing Jason Oswell.
