GUILSFIELD are Central Wales Cup champions.
The Guils overcame the challenge of Ardal North East League champions Caersws in Llansantffraid on Wednesday night to lift the coveted silverware for the first time in nine years.
Following a strong start to the final, the Guils were eventually rewarded for their efforts when Callum Bromley headed past Jack Perry from a 10th minute Ben Guest corner.

Caersws grew into the match as the opening period progressed but were unable to find a way past the well-organised defence of the JD Cymru North club.
The Bluebirds were struck a crucial blow two minutes after the interval when Joe Haycock was afforded the time and space to fire a low shot into the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the penalty area.

Caersws continued to strive to find a way back into the match but were unable to pierce their opponent's defence and it was left to Guilsfield captain Jolyon Harries to receive the trophy from Wyn Lewis of the Central Wales FA following the final whistle.
