Newtown 0 TNS 5
NEWTOWN became the latest victims of a rampant TNS as the JD Cymru Premier champions eased to a 5-0 win at Latham Park on Saturday.
Little went right for the Robins who saw Kieran Mills-Evans and Callum Roberts dismissed by referee Andy McInch in a torrid second-half.
Declan McManus starred with a hat-trick as the Saints broke the 100 goal milestone while Adrian Cieslewicz and Gwion Dafydd goals completed the scoring for a TNS side which could have scored even more.
McManus steered home Danny Redmond's left wing cross from six yards asthe Saints led after just six minutes.
The post came to Newtown's rescue four minutes later when Ryan Brobbel intercepted Ryan Sears' underhit pass to goalkeeper Dave Jones who was relieved to see the Northern Irishman's shot hit the woodwork.

The Saints continued to dominate possession with the Robins under the cosh for much of the first-half and Aaron Williams and Nigel Aris left to feed off scraps.
Jones was forced into action to deny McManus from long range before home captain Craig Williams cleared Brobbel's volley off the line after 34 minutes.
Redmond was also denied by the woodwork as the Saints continued to knock on the door with the pressure finally yielding its rewards just before the break.
Josh Pask broke down the right wing before squaring for McManus who slotted home his second of the afternoon.
Newtown's afternoon got even worse just before the hour when Josh Daniels rounded Jones only to see his shot cleared off the line by Mills-Evans' arm with the substitute dismissed and McManus completed his hat-trick from the spot.
Cieslewicz added a fourth 10 minutes later as TNS continued to dominate while Newtown were reduced to nine men with Roberts picking up a second caution from the official for an adjudged infringement.
Dafydd scrambled home a fifth in injury time to complete the scoring as the Saints maintained their 17 point lead at the top of the table.
