A HOST of Maldwyn Harriers Athletics Club youngsters donned their school colours for the Powys School Cross Country held at Newtown's Dolerw Park on Friday
A host of club members won their respective age groups while a general good showing of athletes underlined the high calibre of long distance runners on show.
Nansi Evans topped the Year 7 girls podium while Maisie Love ended 14th in the same race.
Maddie Hughes pipped clubmate Olivia Morgan to top spot in the Year 8/9 girls race while Alice Joyce was 15th and Phoebe Whitehall ended 55th.

Mackenzie McCourt won the Year 10/11 girls race with Olivia Garrod 12th while Maddie Griffiths saw off the challenge of Caitlyn Bloor to win the Year 12-13 girls race.
Harrier stable stars also dominated the boys' races.
Chris Benson won the Year 8/9 race while Matthew Benson won the Year 10/11 race while clubmates Deri McCluskey, Aled Breeze and Callum Morgan completed a podium clean sweep in the Year 12-13 race.

The athletes will now head to Brecon for the Welsh Schools Cross Country on February 15 to represent Powys.
A club spokesperson said: "It was a very proud day for Maldwyn Harriers, all of our juniors put in a great shift for their respective schools. They all train incredibly hard and this is their reward."
