New changing rooms and first aid facilities are to be installed at Llanidloes Town Football Club following planning approval last week.
The proposal for Portakabin facilities to include new male and female officials changing facilities and a first aid room at the club’s Victoria Park ground was approved by Powys County Council on June 2.
The new rooms will sit adjacent to the main grandstand on the ‘town’ side of the ground.
A report prepared by council Planner Rhian Griffiths described Victoria Road as a “valuable community facility within the town”.
“The proposed design and scale of the portacabin are deemed to be acceptable in its context with the use of the site as a Football Club,” the report said.
“The cabin will be finished with corrugated metal, painted green in colour. The corrugated metal will match other buildings at the site, whilst the proposed colour of the development will help assimilate it into its surroundings.”
