LLANFAIR United Football Club's new manager is Lawrence Wilson.
Wilson arrives at Mount Field with experience at the helm of AFC Bentley, New Saints Ladies and most recently at Wem Town and Wem Town Ladies.
Last weekend Wilson guided Wem to TJ Vickers Women's Cup success over Shrewsbury Town.
Wilson is joined at the helm by assistant Grant Butler and succeeds Rhys Stephens who stepped down this month after a golden decade in charge.
The UEFA B licence coach will manage the Ardal North East League side alongside his ongoing commitments to Wem Town Ladies.
He said: “I am delighted to become Llanfair United’s new manager, and I’d like to thank Huw Ellis and the rest of the committee for putting faith in me for the forthcoming season.
“It’s a new challenge for me, managing across the border in Wales, but a challenge I relish and really look forward to starting.”
“I hope that along with my assistant, Grant, we can help the club progress on and off the field and get back into the Cymru North, that’s the main objective.”
“I’ll be getting to know the boys throughout pre season and getting my philosophy across.”
“I hope to bring success to the club as we work on this new journey together.”
Meanwhile Butler is a former TNS and Caersws player who has also represented Shawbury and Wem Town.
Wilson will begin to take training this week ahead of Llanfair’s first behind closed doors friendly against Forden on June 8.
