BERRIEW Football Club has become the latest sports club to install CCTV at its ground.
Mid Wales sports venues have recorded a rise in vandalism during lockdown with a host of clubs being struck.
Such incidences cost clubs money while also force people to leave their homes to deal with mess during lockdown.
Ardal North East League club Berriew have been targeted by vandals on several occasions during the past 10 months of non activity.
The club decided to act and Talbot Field now has its own CCTV system,
A club spokesman said: “Following the recent disappointing cases of vandalism of the main stand and anti social behaviour at the ground, the club has had CCTV installed to help prevent a repeat and to catch future offenders.
“Remember to smile next time you are there.
“Thanks to AL Technical for the installation.”
