RHAYADER Town were crowned Watson Financial Mid Wales League (South) champions on Saturday.
A solitary strike from Gareth Hughes earned the Red Kites a 1-0 win over Newcastle to spark a weekend of celebration.
Earlier in the week Hughes netted twice in a 7-1 rout of local rivals Llandrindod Wells Reserves.
Mark Davies also completed a brace with Taylor Wozencraft, Michael Fowlie and Mattie Lewis cancelling a reply from Kieran McCarley.
Elsewhere Presteigne Reserves thumped Knighton Town Reserves 7-1 in the East Radnor derby.
Duanne Anning led the way with a hat-trick while Jamie Blythe netted twice with Liam Tompkins and an own goal completing the tally while Billy Hyett replied with a consolation.
