TWO members of Maldwyn Harriers Athletics Club represented Welsh Schools in the SIAB cross country in Sefton Park on Sunday.
Mackenzie McCourt of Welshpool High School and Madison Hughes of Llanidloes High School lined up to represent their country in the final cross country event of the season ahead of the start of the fell running programme.
Madison crossed the line in 10:59 to seal 14th place in the junior race while MacKenzie ended in 28th place with a time of 14:42 in the inter girls race.

The duo flew the flag for Powys as the only athletes from the county to make the cut.
Harriers spokesperson Sharon Jones said: “Both of them had really strong races against strong competition on a very fast course, with Mackenzie in the bottom of her year group, so she has one more year in this inter girls age group. We are very proud of both of them.
