WELSHPOOL High School celebrated the second of a potential quadruple this week.
The school’s under 15s boys team beat Newtown to be crowned Powys champions having already knocked out Llanfair Caereinion and Bro Hyddgen to reach the final.
Alex Siddi put Welshpool ahead after about 70 minutes before Newtown equalised in the dying moments of the game.
The match finished 1-1 so was decided by penalties where Welshpool won 5-3.with Siddi, Liam Howard, Morgan Hodkiss, Sonny Holley and Arnie Roberts on target.
The team are now through to the last 16 in Wales.
This caps off a successful term of football for Welshpool after the Under 12s team also became Powys champions earlier in the month.

The U13s and U18s are also in the Powys final which will be played in January.
The county rounds of the school cup are now entering their final stages with qualifiers looking ahead to the nationals in 2023.
Each age group will provide a representative for the national round to be played in the spring term 2023.
This year saw more than 93 per cent of schools from across Wales enter a side with more than 1,000 teams competing over the past few months with girls and boys competitions at several age grades.
Llanfair Caereinion beat Welshpool 10-1 in the under 13s girls final and will now represent Powys in the nationals.
Llanfyllin beat local rivals Llanfair Caereinion 3-1 in the final of the under 15s girls cup.
Welshpool were crowned under 12s boys champions following a 9-0 win over Calon Cymru in the final.
John Beddoes and Welshpool will meet in the final of the boys under 13s cup with a date and venue to be decided while Caereinion and Bro Hyddgen will contest the final of the under 14s boys cup.
Caereinion and Welshpool will meet in the final of the under 18s boys cup.
Finals weekend is one of the most eagerly anticipated in the calendar with Llanfair Caereinion and Newtown each reaching the girls finals in recent years when Wales international Carrie Jones helped her side to the final.
Llanidloes High School has also reached the girls final in recent years.
