Organisers of a Welshpool activity group are on the lookout for new members as lockdown eases, they say.
Welshpool and District ‘U3A’ is a cheerful self-help organisation devoted to keeping the more mature brain active, they say.
Monthly meetings have been suspended during the pandemic but the group now say they will be meeting later this month - and are hoping for new members to get involved.
“We welcome as members people from all walks of life who are no longer in full-time work,” said a spokesperson.
“We cover the towns of Welshpool and Montgomery, and their surrounding rural areas.
“We offer groups covering interests such as photography, dog walking, all things textile, wine tasting, astronomy, knit & natter and many many more.
“If any of these grab your interest why not meet us outside The Royal Oak Hotel to discuss further?”
The group are set to meet outside the Royal Oak Hotel, Welshpool on Friday, June 25 from 10-12am and 2-3pm.
