THIS month heralds an exciting new era in the history of Berriew Football Club.
Next week the club's women's team, officially known as Berriew Ladies, kick-off life in the North Wales Women's League East.
The side was launched last year and will be coached by Catherine Bradley in the eight club league which also includes two guaranteed derbies against Welshpool Town who have returned following a season in the Staffordshire League.

Many of the players have come through the club's junior system although others, such as ex-Welshpool player Ellie Davies, have signed from elsewhere.
The Rhiewsiders kick off at home to Corwen on Sunday, September 2nd at 2pm at the Haydn Williams Recreation Field.
Once the second pitch is brought up to standard it is likely that most games will be staged there.
A club spokesman said: "The team recognise they will be on a steep learning curve but feel it is better to play competitive games rather than arrange friendly games."
