A CAR flipped over but no-one was seriously injured following a late night incident between Newtown and Kerry on the weekend.
Dyfed Powys Police announced the A489 road near Kerry was closed due to an incident just after 11.30pm on Saturday, June 19. The road was closed in both directions and emergency services were on the scene. It was back open just after 1.30am on Sunday.
“A road traffic collision occurred on the brow of the hill, with a car landing on its roof, just after 11.30pm on Saturday night,” said Dyfed Powys Police Chief Inspector Jacqui Lovatt.
“One vehicle was involved and an ambulance attended as there were a number of occupants in the car. Some suffered minor injuries, including cuts, and they were checked out, but there were no serious injuries and precautionary checks were carried out.
“The accident caused one side of the road to be blocked on the Kerry side. Due to the vehicle overturning, a recovery vehicle attended at the scene.”
