The Heart of Wales 7s welcomed teams and festival goers from all over the UK last weekend for an exciting mix of sport, music and glamping.
With the British Army taking the spoils in the Elite Mens Rugby it was great to see local success for local teams Llanidloes RFC and Newtown RFC as we had over 85 rugby teams involved.
Organiser Jordan Davies said: "We were proud to see the return of the The Welsh Tug of War Championships while Llanidloes Hockey Club also had a great first tournament outing with the hockey and netball events hosting another 45 teams combined."

The 4,000 attendees were treated to two nights of live music with top tribute acts including Oaces, Blink Daze, Queen and Born Jovi, whilst a number of local acts such Mia Ellis, Marc Harpham and Dylan Penri’s Band really got the evening started.

VIP Legend guests Mike Phillips, Lee Byrne and Sean Holley enjoyed a beer or two whilst posing for photos and chatting with fans before heading into the VIP legends event.
Taking questions from the VIPs, they shared stories, and took part in the Charity Silent Auction, raising £850 for Welsh Air Ambulance before Mike Phillips took to the stage for his incredible DJ Set.

Davies said: "It was an absolute pleasure to have hosted this years HoW7s with such an incredible group of people attending.
"The sport, the music, the VIP event and the whole weekend was incredible.

"It couldn’t have been done without an amazing team including my wife Sally, event manager Sam and his team, and everyone from parking to security, the treehouse team to the behind the scene grafters.
"I’m incredibly lucky to have everyone involved.
North Somerset won the Hockey Plate.
"A few highlights were the addition of hockey, the introduction of three new rugby pitches and the VIP event but more importantly having so many local people and familiar faces enjoying the weekend with us.
