LLANIDLOES Town lifted the General Tyres Montgomeryshire Cup following a 3-1 victory over Llanfair United in Berriew on Saturday.
The Daffodils opened the scoring after 31 minutes when George Clarke headed Gareth Owen's cross from the left past Mark Richards in the Llanfair United goal.
Dafydd Carruthers doubled the lead for the Victoria Avenue club 17 minutes into the second-half when his low shot curled into the far corner of the net.

The Mount Field men reduced the deficit with 10 minutes remaining on the clock when Max McLaughlin finding the far corner of Luke Evans' goal after linking well with substitute Nyasha Mwamuka on the edge of the penalty area.
Llanfair United were given the opportunity to draw level four minutes later when referee Huw Jones spotted a handball in the penalty area.

However Evans was the hero for his team when he kept out Josh Astley's spot-kick.
Victory was confirmed for the Daffodils when Elliot Jones was on hand to finish a move from close-range in stoppage time and begin a night of celebrations for the players, management, officials and supporters of the Victoria Avenue club.
