RYAN Astley has been included in the Welsh national under 21s squad for their forthcoming clash with Bulgaria.
The 19-year-old Everton star helps form a strong squad which will take on Bulgaria in Sofia on Tuesday, September 7 in a European Championships Under 21 qualifier.
The young Dragons will be bidding to get points on the board to boost their hopes of qualification for the 2023 championships.
Astley hails from Llanfair Caereinion and emerged through Everton's youth ranks to make his senior debut last season.
The call up for the clash in Bulgaria represents another milestone for the young defender who will hope to pick up his first under 21s cap.
The Welsh squad also includes ex-TNS youngster Jack Vale with the 20-year-old midfielder now a regular senior squad player at English Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
