POLICE have thanked the community of a Powys town for their assistance following the arrest of a wanted man.
Dyfed Powys Police had issued an appeal for the help from the Powys public in tracing 21-year-old Callum Samuel, from Brecon, who was wanted on recall to prison.
He has been recalled to prison after being released on licence after serving part of his sentence for possession with intent to supply drugs and driving offences.
Dyfed Powys Police added that they would also like to speak to him in connection with an assault that happened in Brecon on Christmas Eve.
“Following a public appeal for Callum Samuel an arrest was made earlier today,” police said in a statement released on Tuesday afternoon.
“We would like to thank the community for assisting our investigation.”
