The Christmas tree for Llanfyllin town centre was put in place over the weekend ahead of the town’s lights switch on.
With Llanfyllin’s Christmas lights switch on scheduled for Friday, December 6, the final preparations were made over the weekend which included delivering the town’s Christmas tree.
The 20-foot-tall tree was transported to the town square on a lorry and lowered into place with a crane.

Writing on social media, Llanfyllin Town Council thanked all who were involved in finding, delivering and decorating the centrepiece of the town’s festive season.
They said: “A Huge Thank You to Everyone Who Made the Town Tree Shine Bright.
“Big thanks to Barry and Gareth Davies Forestry & Firewood for generously donating and erecting our beautiful town tree.
“A special thank you to Mayor Peter, Deputy Andrew, Cllr Ann, and Cllr Sean for their efforts in lighting the tree despite the challenges of the weather.
“Here’s to a festive season filled with warmth, joy, and community spirit.”
The lights switch on will be held at 6pm as part of the Christmas market, which runs from 3pm to 8pm.
