THERE is set to be a new addition to Knighton town centre before Christmas – with a sandwich shop opening.
Proprietor Andrea Williams says Border Bites will be opening its doors at 8 High Street and that sandwiches, salad boxes, pasties, jacket potatoes, cakes, coffees and teas will be available to Knighton residents prior to Christmas, although there is no official opening date for the shop yet.
“Some of you may already have heard but Knighton is getting its very own sandwich bar,” Ms Williams said in a post on Facebook.
“Border Bites will be opening its doors at 8 High Street, Knighton.

“We will be serving freshly made sandwiches and rolls with a selection of sandwich fillings for you to choose from including a festive hot roll.
“We will also be selling salad boxes for you healthier people and a selection of pasties, sausage rolls, jacket potatoes and lots of cakes from our local amazing bakers in Knighton and of course you can’t open a sandwich bar without freshly made coffee’s with a choice of syrups and hot chocolate let’s warm you up on these cold days.”
Michael White said Border Bites will be “great addition to the town”, although Ms Williams admitted getting everything in order so that the shop can open in time for Christmas has been challenging.
She added: “I’m not going to lie it’s been hard work to get this up and running before Christmas and many long hours have been spent getting this right and I hope once we open you will agree.
“Please share this post so we can reach all of you lovely people and if you have anything you would like to see that hasn’t already been mentioned just pop a comment on the post as we will be open to ideas.
“Watch this space for the opening date and we look forward to seeing you soon.”
