A digital display screen, designed to give customers "up-to-the-minute information," is to be trialled at Llandrindod Wells Station.
The screen is being relocated by Transport for Wales (TfW) from Cardiff Central to Llandrindod Wells for a 12-month trial.
The screen being relocated was part of a project that saw eight screens deployed at Cardiff Central in August 2023.
The screen has been reconfigured to show relevant information for Llandrindod Wells, and is fully bilingual.
The digital display screen currently displays the following information bilingually behind the buttons on the home screen: journey information; live departure and arrival information; local area information (such as local attractions and amenities, for which customers can download walking directions via a QR code); station information; rail replacement information; lost property details; "passenger assist"; cycle routes; a "Feedback Live train map"; and a "next direct trains" feature.
The screen also features rainbow boards, which show the route status across the network in colour-coded form and BSL messaging, which communicates live departure information.
It also has a library of pre-recorded videos to cover disruption, engineering work, safety and security, and more.
