A WELSHPOOL man has appeared in court charged with causing death of a Powys teenager by dangerous driving.
Danny Francis, of Fair View, Trewern, appeared at Telford Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday, November 26).
The 28-year-old is accused of causing the death of Ben Worrall when driving a Range Rover Sport on the A458 between Rowton junction and Cardeston Park on October 1, 2023, and also causing serious injury by dangerous driving to Nathaniel Fountain in the same incident.

A further charge of causing death by due care while over the drink-drive limit relating to the same incident was heard by the court.
Magistrates sent the case to Shrewsbury Crown Court and Francis was granted bail.
Tributes flooded in for Mr Worrall, who was described as a "happy-go-lucky friend", after he died, while a GoFundMe page to help the 17-year-old's family with funeral expenses.
On the page, his friends wrote: “Our happy go loving friend Ben was tragically taken from us in a motorbike collision. We had spent the evening having food, banter and catching up, before making our way home from Newtown.
“We have set up this go fund me to try and help with some of the financial burden for Vikki and Mark, Ben's parents.
“No parents should have to deal with this, so anything we can do to make the journey that little more bearable will be much appreciated.”
