Two businesses in the Welshpool area have been recognised at the 2025 Wedding Industry Awards.

Pix by Vix and Emma Jane Floral Design were both named as highly commended regional winners in the photographer and florist categories respectively.

The awards ceremony took place at St Tewdrics House in Chepstow.

Vix of Pix by Vix said: "I just can’t believe I won highly commended for Wales in the wedding industry awards.

"I have never entered a wedding award before and it's such an achievement to be seen and rewarded with my first ever entry.

"Also, to take home a win with a fellow Welshpool girly is super amazing."

Emma, of Forden-based Emma Jane Floral Design, said: "Even being a finalist at the wedding industry awards, alongside some of the best wedding florists in the country, was an incredible honour, so I am overjoyed to be awarded highly commended."

The 2025 awards saw 27,300 votes cast for 1,500 entrants.

Of these, 1,100 independent companies became regional finalists.

The winners were determined based on average voter scores, customer feedback from the past 12 months, and the opinions of more than 150 expert judges.

Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, said: "TWIA is the most rigorous, respected, and coveted awards in the UK wedding industry, so the regional winners really are at the top of their game.

"The competition is tough, the standards very high indeed, but thanks to over 27,000 client votes and our panel of more than 150 expert judges, the regional winners have risen to the top in an industry that absolutely demands the best."

The UK wedding industry is worth an estimated £15 billion annually, making it a highly competitive market for suppliers.

The awards provide recognition for those who stand out in the industry.

The regional winners will now go through to the national final in London on January 22.

The Wedding Industry Awards are the only client-voted, expert-judged regional and national awards in the wedding industry.
