Royal Welsh Winter Fair issues travel advice after Storm Bert

The Royal Welsh Winter Fair, one of the main events in the calendar for farming communities in Wales, has also been affected by the weather after multiple road closures.

The Winter Fair which is happening this weekend at the Royal Welsh Showground is currently being affected by the flooding this morning caused by Storm Bert (November 24)

The Royal Welsh Society who run the event have given advice for drivers trying to attend as main roads in the area have been affected by overnight rain.

In a post online a spokesperson for the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society said: "If you’re traveling today, please allow extra time and drive carefully.

"Visitors coming from the Carmarthen direction: Please turn at Beulah and continue via Newbridge-on-wye to avoid affected areas.
