TWO women accused of stealing a car in Powys will face a joint trial in the crown court next year.
Chelsea Ross and Tarran Wilkes appeared via videolink at Mold Crown Court on Friday, November 11, where their trial was fixed to begin in April 2025.
Both Ross, 30, and Wilkes, 31, are accused of stealing a Vauxhall Insignia belonging to Adam Woolley in the Llanfair Caereinion area on January 7, 2023.
On the same day it is alleged they stole Makita tools from another car, belonging to Lee Phillips, in Ford, Shropshire.
Ross is also accused of a third offence, handling stolen goods, between January 2-8, 2023.
Ross, of Mill Street, Willenhall, near Wolverhampton, but currently serving a prison sentence at HMP Foston Hall in Derbyshire, entered not guilty pleas to all three offences when put to her on Friday.
Wilkes, of Victoria House, Barnstaple, Devon, entered not guilty pleas to both thefts at a previous hearing in Welshpool Magistrates’ Court last month.
The defendants were told their trial will take place on April 14 next year, most likely in Mold, but possibly at Caernarfon Crown Court.
