A NEWTOWN man who denies driving while disqualified will go to trial early in 2025.
Darren Williams, 57, pleaded not guilty to the offence, as well as driving without insurance, when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, November 19.
Williams, of Plas Melinydd, New Road, is accused of getting behind the wheel of a blue Ford Focus on September 18; it is said he was stopped by police driving on Market Street.
Magistrates adjourned the case and set it down for trial, which is due to take place in Welshpool on January 20 next year.
Williams is on conditional bail, which requires him to live and sleep each night at his home address.
