TWO men charged with causing the death of a man by dangerous driving near Welshpool have been remanded into custody after appearing in court.
Abubakr Yusaf and Umar Yusaf, from Manchester, appeared at court in Welshpool on Monday, charged with causing the death of a man after a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A483 just outside Welshpool last weekend.
The man, who was the driver of a white Toyota Yaris, died at the scene of the collision between Berriew and the Sarn Bryn Caled roundabout.
Abubakr Yusaf, 29, and Umar Yusaf, 33, both of Esmond Road, Manchester, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 18, where their case was sent immediately to the crown court.

Abubakr Yusaf faces a total of six charges, while Umar Yusaf is charged with four offences.
Abubakr Yusaf, the driver of a red BMW X3, is accused of causing the death of the man by dangerous driving. He also faces an offence of causing serious injury to a passenger in the Yaris.
He is charged with causing death by driving an uninsured vehicle, as well as failing to stop following an accident, driving while unfit through drugs, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Umar Yusaf, who was driving a blue Audi S4, also faces a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
He is charged with causing death while driving an uninsured vehicle, causing serious injury to a passenger in the Yaris, and failing to stop after an accident.
Due to the serious nature of the offences, the case was sent straight to the higher court. Both defendants will next appear at Mold Crown Court on December 20.
Both were denied bail and remanded into custody where they will remain until the hearing in Mold.
