A MAN awaiting trial over theft from a vehicle in Powys has been granted bail this week.
Daniel Whyte, 26, appeared from custody at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, November 12, over an alleged theft in Welshpool earlier this month.
Whyte is accused of stealing a Samsung tablet from a Vauxhall Vivaro belonging to Benjamin Rose in Welshpool on November 2. He denied the offence on November 5 and his trial is scheduled to take place in Welshpool on November 27.
Whyte, who has been on remand at HMP Berwyn in Wrexham was granted conditional bail by magistrates on Tuesday.
His bail states that he must reside at The Mole Inn, Heol Twrch, Lower Cwmtwrch, and he must wear an ankle monitor and abide by a curfew between 5pm and 7am.
