One person was injured after crash that left “a large amount of oil” across the road.
Emergency services were called to near Churchstoke yesterday evening (November 12) after reports of a two-vehicle crash.
According to Dyfed-Powys Police they were called to the scene after two cars collided on the A489 leading to them having to close the road.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 6.20pm, Tuesday 12th November on the A489 by the Blue Bell Crossing near Churchstoke.
“One person suffered minor injuries which were treated at the scene.
“The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered and the road cleared.”
The aftermath of the crash saw a large amount of oil coming out of the damaged cars with fire crews from Shropshire being called in to help make the vehicles safe and clean up the highway.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 6.47pm on Tuesday November 12, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Montgomery.
“One fire appliance was mobilised from Bishops Castle.
“Crews used Environment agency equipment to deal with the incident.
“Two vehicles were involved in a Road Traffic Collision. Crews made vehicles electrically safe and used environmental grab pack to clear large amount of oil on the road.”
