Much-loved Llanidloes jewellery shop Fire & File will be closing at the end of the year.
Jewellery maker Yvonne Russell-Jones said she would be "forever grateful" to everyone who has supported her independent businesses, adding that now was the right time to move forward.
Yvonne posted on Facebook: "I’ll get straight to the point as there’s no easy way to share this. I will be closing my shop Fire & File at No. 9 Great Oak St at the end of the year.
"This is mainly due to some difficult personal circumstances. Many of you know that although I have made some very positive changes in my life, it’s also been an incredibly tough year too and I now need to focus on how I move forward.

"Hopefully it won’t be forever but for now, I’m very sad to say that it’s something I need to do.
"To all you lovely people who have supported me, you have been amazing and I’ll be forever grateful for the support you’ve given me."
Customers and Llanidloes residents flooded the business' social media post with kind messages following the news that the shop will close before the New Year.
Joy Smout described the shop's closure as "heartbreaking", adding that Yvonne and her "wonderful shop has made a tremendous difference to the Llani independent shop scene".
While Lorna Wilson-Day said: "Your shop is beautiful and the items were just second to none! Keeping everything crossed this is only temporary."

Earlier this year, Yvonne told customers that online orders and commissions were paused after she and her "wonderful" friend Karlene Evans opened the new Long Bridge Street restaurant and coffee house 'Hiraeth'.
She said at the time: "I love being a part of this community. I love our town and all the wonderful independent businesses we have here and having my shop play a small part in this making our town what is it is very important to me."

New stock and gifts for Christmas are still available at the Great Oak Street shop, and gift vouchers are valid to use.
Customers saving their gift vouchers for a jewellery commission have been told not to panic, with Yvonne emphasising that she will "of course be making your gorgeous ideas when you're ready".
Shop furniture pieces are for sale, including 'Mavis' the shop window skeleton. "I may even part with my pink and gold dresser, despite turning down several offers for her in the past!" Yvonne added.
