A vehicle that crashed into a railway bridge caused disruption to train services in north Powys on Monday (November 11).
The collision in the Caersws area caused some train journeys between Machynlleth and Shrewsbury to be delayed or replaced by bus transport.
Transport for Wales confirmed at around 12.30pm that the line had reopened after Network Rail staff assessed the bridge.
"In the meantime we are working with our provider to source replacement road transport for the revised services at Machynlleth," the railway service provider added.
Railway passengers are being advised to check before travelling on the Cambrian line between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth.
Transport for Wales added that if one of their trains is delayed or cancelled and passengers arrive at their destination station more than 15 minutes later than scheduled, they can claim compensation through 'Delay Repay' at https://tfw.wales/help-and-contact/rail/delay-repay
