WHEN is a bypass not a bypass?
I would say it is when so many people stop bothering to use it and clog up the very roads the bypass were meant to decongest.
If you were to attempt either route you would find Newtown bypass is under-used while the main road through Newtown remains as busy as ever.
The only thing I can suppose are locals still going through the town rather than using the bypass to get home if they live on the other side of town.
The bypass has been the best thing to happen to town for a long time.
Perhaps some shops on the bypass would change the local mentality?
