A CAR was half on fire in a town on the Powys/Shropshire border on Friday, firefighters have said.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue (SFRS) firefighters from Bishop's Castle were sent to Plowden after reports of a 4x4 vehicle on fire shortly before midday.
A SFRS spokesman confirmed that the car was on fire.

They said: “One fire appliance was mobilised from Bishops Castle.
“One 4x4 vehicle was 50 per cent involved in a fire.”
A stop message confirming no more supported was required was sent to SFRS control at around 12.20pm.
