Tractors descended on Rhosgoch for the 10th anniversary of a charity run.

The Rhosgoch Young Farmers' Club (YFC) tractor run took place on Sunday, October 27, raising money for St Michael's Hospice and supporting the club.

The club chose the hospice due to the wide range of services it provides to the community, including a 24-hour advice line, inpatient unit, day services, hospice care at home, and bereavement support.

The tractor procession started at 10.30am, driving through communities in Herefordshire and Powys.

The route included Newchurch, Michaelchurch-on-Arrow, Brilley, Eardisley, Almeley, Kinnersley, and Letton, before crossing Brobury Bridge and the River Wye to Bredwardine.

The tractors then headed to Clifford and the community centre for a lunch stop.

Here, the raffle was drawn, and awards for the best-presented tractors were given.

Ashley Stephens of Hereford won the John Haydn Meredith Memorial Trophy for the best-presented tractor with his Case IH Maxxum 150.

Dave Evans, now living in Newcastle Emlyn, won the Ron Meredith Memorial Shield for the best-presented vintage tractor with his Massey Ferguson 165.

A special presentation of a bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers was made to Andrew and Sally Ritchie for their decade-long support.

After lunch, the tractors toured Archenfield, Cusop, and Hay, before crossing back over the River Wye to climb up to Clyro.

They then worked their way back to Rhosgoch, where the club announced that the hospice would receive a £500 donation.
