Builth Wells Town Council has confirmed the Groe public toilets will be closed “until further notice”.
The toilets which have been repeatedly closed over the last 18 months will not be open to the public due to issues with the cleaning company that service the facilities.
In the last year the toilets have had intermittent closures due to repeated attacks by vandals which have seen trial closures.
In October last year the council put out a post claiming the toilets were being “trashed” and that the custodian cleaning them was being disrespected by local youngsters congregating near the area.

Builth Wells Town Council also considered closing the toilets due to experiencing problems for years. This has included anti-social behaviour, drug taking and damage caused to the toilets.
The council has now closed the toilets after the company contracted to clean the facility does not have the required staff to fulfil the tasks.
Builth Wells Town Council posted on social media: “Owing to our Contract Cleaning Company having issues with staff shortages, the toilets on the Groe will be shut until further notice.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience.”
