A Newtown road will be closed for five days while the council carries out resurfacing works.
The B4568 Lower Canal Road is the main road to Llanllwchaiarn from Newtown.
The road will be shut between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday (October 28) to Friday (November 1).
A traffic diversion route, which is estimated to take around 15 minutes if it was completed in full, will be in place.

The diversion is listed as being via the B4568 towards the McDonald’s traffic lights, then turning left for Pool Road and towards the Aberbechan turning. Head to Aberbechan before taking the B4568 towards Llanllwchaiarn and Lower Canal Road.
Powys County Council said the closure will be in place for carriageway resurfacing works.
